Welcome to Fig class.
Fig class are now learning from Unit 8.
In Unit 8 we review all 42 sounds to the 26 letters
of the alphabet and start putting the sounds
we have learnt into practice with basic reading and writing.
We also practice the sounds by writing the missing first,
middle or last letter and also try to write short words
from picture clues that the children have learnt from the previous .

Fig classにようこそ！
現在Fig classでは、ユニット８をレッスン中です。
アルファベット26文字の全42音を確認しながら、
さらに読み書きで実践。
一部の文字が抜けている単語で「音」を練習したり、
前に習った絵を見て単語を書くという練習もしています。

 We start learning about the jobs of important people,
firefighter, policeman, doctor, teacher,
mail carrier, nurse, farmer and bus driver.
「大事な仕事（職業）」についても勉強中！
消防士、警察官、警察官、医者、先生、
郵便配達員、看護師、農家、バス運転手　・・

We learn more about the days with today, tomorrow and yesterday.
「今日」「明日」「昨日」を使って「日」についてもレッスン中♪

We learn about how some words change adding (er)
or (est) to the end of the word to compare.
For examples long, longer longest, and high, higher highest.
比べるときは単語の後ろに「er」や「est」をつけることを習いました。

The pictures show more examples of adding er and est to words.
「er」「est」の違いが分かりやすいように、
高さを比べるときはくぐるバーの高さを変えたり
大きさを比べるときは、大きさの違うものを並べたりなど、
感覚的に「比べる」を理解できるようにしました。

We learn that if we write the number 1 before the numbers 1 – 9 we can make 11 – 19.
1～9の前に「１」を書くと、
10以降の数字「11～19」ができることがわかりました！
