Spring Afterschool English 

In May students were finishing their units
and are starting the next ones. 

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we could not
have normal classes, but we could continue classes
by using Zoom while children were
at home or in the school.
It has been new learning experience,
but everyone has been trying their best.  
 5月、Ｕnit３のレッスンがスタート！ 

新型コロナウイルスの影響でオンラインレッスンに
なってしまいましたが、
子どもたちはオンラインレッスンに挑戦してくれました！ 

Children in Unit 3 have been learning how to write and say letters of the alphabet. 

We now know the sounds of and how to write all these letters.  
 
Unit 1: d, f, k, m, z        
Unit 2: b, g, l, u           
Unit 3: c, e, n, x 
 

Unit3では、上記（Unit1～３）のアルファベットの音と書き方が 
わかるようになりました！ 

We learned about objects we can use in
our classrooms and outside in the playground. 

We can work together passing things to
our friends as well as describe them using
sizes and colors. 
Let’s pass the brown block to our friend
and put the blue eraser on our arm. 
 

また、お部屋や園庭にある「物」の他に
大きさや色の表現もできるようになりました。 
「茶色のブロックをお友だち同士で回そう！」
「青い消しゴムを自分の腕にのせてみよう！」 

こんなふうに友だちと共有したり、
大きさや色の単語を使って説明してみました。 

Chris: 　What is this? 

Children: 　A toy! 

Chris:　 And what color is the toy? 

Children: 　blue! 

Chris: 　Is the toy big or small? 

Children:　 Big! 

Chris: 　Wonderful, this is a big blue toy. 

I would like to say thank you to the
parents of the children who stayed at home
during this state of emergency. 
It has been a difficult time but thank you
for working with us so we can continue 
helping your child on their English language journey.
